Singapore recently (ongoing at the time of writing) had a really long weekend. National day for Singapore fell on a Friday, whereas Hari Raya Haji fell on Sunday. What that actually means is that Singaporeans had a 4-day long weekend.
Instead of staying in Singapore to celebrate National Day, many Singaporeans flocked to Malaysia for a short getaway. This caused some really heavy traffic jams at the causeway:

Unsurprisingly, when the long weekend slowly comes to an end, traffic jams started again. This time, the traffic jam is towards Singapore from Johor. One netizen shared how she left Genting for Singapore at 1400 hrs, and after an overwhelming 7 hours later, she still was nowhere near the customs.
A witness at ground zero even posted pictures of the jam, with the caption: “OMG! It’s like a gold chain”.
Waze, a GPS navigation software app owned by Google, showed live traffic conditions at Johor. This was what we found at about 2:45 am on Monday:
Some even wanted to call the police:
Happy holidays, everyone!
