“Procrastination is like a credit card: It’s a lot of fun until you get the bill.” – Christopher Parker

It’s only human for us to not be lazy, right? Unless you are Casey Neistat of course. If you do not know who’s him, you definitely should check him out! He’s a great vlogger and a very inspiring man. 1. Your environment

Keep it clean and tidy. This is to us, one of the most important things to do before carrying out with your work. After all, seeing rubbish and used water bottles on your table takes up space and can be an eyesore! It might also demotivate you to do work and be productive!

2. Getting enough sleep

We just can’t emphasize the importance of sleep enough. It is VERY important. Not getting enough sleep will not keep you in focus, and the revision you are planning to do will probably not get into your brains at all! The best solution to solving this if you really do not have time is by taking power naps!

According to Sleep Foundation, teenagers need at least 8 hours of sleep and adults need at least 7!

3. Quit using your phone

Admit it. You once sat down with the motivation to study, but the sight of your phone just couldn’t be resisted. You pick up your phone and before you know it, boom. 2 hours have past and you are now even more rushed for time. Discipline yourself! Otherwise, past it to a trusted one and instruct him or her to only pass it back to you after you have fully completed your work!

4. Use a lockdown browser

If you don’t know what a lockdown browser is, you should. It’s just like a normal internet browser, but it also restricts you from straying into other pages. Normally used for examinations in schools, but this method will ensure that you stay on track and do your work!

5. Music

You really have to ask yourself: Does listening to music help you focus while doing your work? Or does it not? If you insist on listening even though it distracts you, you obviously won’t be productive! Be honest, be honest, be honest! You aren’t benefiting anyone else but yourself!

6. Get a proper study lamp

For those who revises using hard copy notes, you NEED to get a PROPER study light. Don’t get those cheap ones as it will not disperse the light properly, strain your eyes, or are even too bright! We highly recommend that you invest in a good one.

7. Make a list

“Fail to plan is like planning to fail” -unknown.

Really. We can’t agree more. Making a list on what you aim to finish by the end of the day really helps. It keeps you in focus and on time! Make realistic ones though!

8. Take breaks

It’s important to take breaks in between your revision or work. If not, you might overwork and stress yourself too much!

9. Hydrate yourself

It’s important to make sure you are well hydrated and not dying of thirst constantly! Also, do read our article on Why You Should NEVER, Ever, Drink Bottled Water Again, if you haven’t!

10. Watch what you eat

Yes, we agree that food is the best thing on earth. But you should never eat too much before your work or revision,  as it might bring you into a food coma and thus lower productivity by A LOT. We’re sure you have experienced this! Also, cut down on sugar-rich food items as it will cause you to feel sleepy too!
